Unmasking Saturn: The Ancient God Behind Modern Power
In this electrifying episode of Wake Up with Miya, researcher and author Derek Gilbert joins me to reveal the shocking continuity of Saturn worship—a spiritual thread running from the temples of Mesopotamia to the halls of modern political power. Drawing on decades of study, Derek traces how the god Saturn evolved across civilizations under names like Kronos, El, Dagon, and Molech, each representing the same destructive entity at the heart of humanity’s oldest religion.
We explore how the Rephaim—spirits of the dead—played a central role in these cults. Ancient families believed they could summon their ancestors using teraphim idols, inviting them to ritual meals meant to maintain bloodline power. These ceremonies, Derek explains, became the foundation for later practices of ancestor and saint veneration, subtly merging into early Christian and pagan traditions.
The Return of Saturn’s Kingdom
Derek connects the dots between ancient rituals and today’s geopolitical and spiritual climate. From pagan symbolism in the U.S. Capitol to the 2020 Great Conjunction—a celestial alignment once seen as the rebirth of Saturn’s reign—he argues that these events echo the same ancient patterns of rebellion against divine authority.
We discuss how January 6, 2021, mirrored elements of ancient rites of chaos and enthronement. Derek reveals that the cult of Saturn was never truly extinguished—it simply changed form, influencing art, architecture, and political power structures throughout history. The veneration of death, cyclical destruction, and “enlightenment through suffering” remain at its core.
By understanding Saturn’s true nature, Derek says, we can discern the spiritual warfare playing out behind world events. The same forces that deceived the Amorites and Phoenicians are now shaping global ideologies, masquerading as progress, science, and freedom. Recognizing these ancient patterns is the first step toward breaking their hold on human consciousness.
This episode challenges listeners to look beyond myth and symbolism—to see the ancient spirit of Saturn for what it is: a counterfeit kingdom disguised as wisdom and light.
The Spirit of Saturn Revealed
My conversation with Derek Gilbert was a powerful reminder that the battle we face today is not new—it’s ancient. The same entities that demanded sacrifice under names like Molech and Kronos still influence modern systems, culture, and faith. Their goal has always been the same: to divert humanity from the Creator toward a counterfeit light.
